I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked Lucian a lot more than I have liked most of the other males from this series. Yes he was all caveman and forced his will but thats just what they do. It's a story not real life. And he seemed to feel guilty when he did it and the only times I remember him doing it was when he wanted Jax to drink from him. Is that right? maybe thats wrong. But if thats the case then he's better than the rest of them. Plus he was kinda funny and I liked that about him.
Jaxon I didn't really care for. She has a shitty childhood. Alright. That sucks. But her way of coping with everything was so freaking annoying. The whole denial thing. I hate that. She was suppose to be this bad ass cop and her way of dealing with everything was to pretend it wasn't there or that she didn't hear it.. That just annoys me. Honestly Lucian kind of got stuck with a shitty life mate.
And can I just say really, one shot took him down? COME ON! thats just embarrassing.

Dark Dream by Christine Feehan
Surprise! I actually loved this book! Falcon is still a caveman like the rest of the Carpathian males but he actually asks Sara what she wants! Mind blown when I heard that. I do not remember any of the other males doing that. Not only that but the wants Sara to have all her dreams. Crazy concept. Falcon is by far my favorite. He's the only one who wants his female to have opinions!
Now the book was extremely short and they fell in love basically instantly which is bat shit crazy.. but whatever. I still enjoyed the story. And really she already knew about him because she's been dreaming about him.. and maybe I am just making up excuses... but again whatever. It was still good.
By far my favorite of the series.

Dark Fire by Christine Feehan
Sometimes I really do not know why I keep reading this series. This book was one of the worse ones I think. I honestly like the whole life mate thing. Where the male sees color and feels as soon as he sees his life mate. I love that. I freaking hate that they feel the need to control everything about the female. i feel like the books are getting worse an worse at this as the series goes on.
Darius was terrible. This is what I remember of him. He took Tempest down under a volcano and she kept telling him how terrified and how uncomfortable she was being underground and he told her she was fine and put her to sleep. And then woke her up with sex. And when she realized what had happened she was mad for all of half a second. Which also made me hate her.
So there you have it.. I hated both the main characters. Tempest was weak and she had zero common sense and she was just plain annoying. She would get pissed and then get over it two seconds later without anything being resolved. And Darius was the worst. He treated his life mate like he would his child and thats creepy. He didn't want her to have a mind of her own. He basically wanted her to keep her mouth shut and her legs open. Oh and stay right by his side. Freaking annoying.
okkkaaaay. Now that I have ranted about how much I disliked this book.... I will read the next one. I love the world too much to completely drop the series all together. But I am getting to a point where that may not be enough anymore.

Dark Magic by Christine Feehan
Alright y'all I am so disappointed about my Gregori. I have pushed this series up in my list to read just so I could read this book because I HAD to know about Gregori. I was so sure I was going to marry him and have his babies but now that I have read about the Dark One.. I do not like him at all. He kind of broke my little heart. And I HATE Savannah. You would think because she is the daughter of Mikhail and Raven that she would be a lot stronger but I found her to be weak. She whined ALOT! I wanted to punched her on more than one occasion and hello how do you just forgive someone who brutally takes your innocence because he was close to his dark side. uh NO! You do not worry for him. You punch him.. huh. I may be little violent it seems. but it's the truth. She just let the shit go. The only thing I liked about her was her sarcasm. She was funny later on with Gary, the human. I liked her relationship with him. And I guess she makes Gregori smile in his head or whatever so thats cool. But I hate weak females.
Okay so I thought I liked the whole life mate thing. Turns out I don't. I do not like that the males can force the female to make them slaves. I keep getting more and more upset the more I read this series. Jacques really pissed me off because he forces his life mate to do so much and Gregori topped him. There is a difference between being a protective alpha male and what Gregori was doing to Savannah.
I will eventually get back to this series but I am moving on for awhile. Julian will have to wait for now. I think I have read too many of these books in a row and I am getting pissed at the domineering males. Plus the stories are all kind of the same so far.. it's kind of getting boring and predictable.

Dark Gold by Christine Feehan
Again I liked it but I didn't love the book. But I love the world it is all based in. I have read a couple reviews for books later on and a lot of complaints I see are that it's the same story over and over again and I can defiantly see that happening. This is only the 3rd book and I can already see it but I still want more.. So that says something there I think.
I could not stand Alex.. I thought she was kind of whiney and for someone who only wanted to take care of her brother she really didn't do a great job.. Please explain why you would leave your brother with a homeless man? How in the hell did that happen.. Okay so you have talked to him a few times, and I guess you are kind of his friend but I mean really?.. I don't know I had issues with that right away. And then later on she was so dead set on proving Aiden wrong that she tried to walk into the sun? Yeah and leave Josh to complete strangers. Yeah, No. Some crappy things happened to her. I get that and no one can know wha they would do unless they were in that situation but I just feel like running into to the sun to prove that it won't kill you when you can feel it burning you.. ugh. Stupid.
Aiden I liked. He was much better than Jacques. Thats for sure. I have come to realize that all the men in this series are going to be overbearing cavemen. Which I can deal with as long as nothing is actually forced and I don't think Aiden forced Alex to really do anything the way Jac did. He was terrible.
anyways I am very excited for the next book because yay Gregori! Although after the little bit of info you learn about him and his life mate in this book I have a feeling I may not like the next book that much but we shall see.

Dark Desire by Christine Feehan
Surprisingly i loved this book. I wasn't a huge fan of the first book. I thought it was too long and just a little too... I don't know the right word.. just too much I guess. I don't know.
I kinda love that Jacque is crazy and that Shea is the only one that can calm him. I love the whole life mate thing. I hate shifter books where there isn't a life mate. What's the point right. I love the way Christine Feehan has written the mates in this book. Where they call to each other over thousands of miles. Love it!
I also have to say that I love that they aren't actually Vampires, they are Carpathians unless they go bad. Cool twist. I can't remember when I read the first book Dark Prince, but i want to say it has been at least a year.. ish and I am just not reading the second book because I wasn't feeling the first book but I actually really enjoyed this book. I didn't LOVE it but I got hooked into the world and now I need to know whats going on and I already have the third book and I am starting it tomorrow. So we shall see if the rest of the series can pull me in or if this book just happened to be a fluke. Though I do know I will read until the 4th book becauseI have to know about Gregori.. like I have to. So at least two more books for me to fall head over heels in love with the series.
