Midnight's Seduction by Donna Grant

I have mixed feelings about this book.  There were times where I was head over heels in love with Camdyn and then I hated him.  I will say that really the only thing I hated about him was the fact that he was so reluctant to be with Saffron just because he didn't want to watch her die.  Because most of the other warriors are doing it and I FINALLY found out that Isla's shield is what is keeping them from aging.  So wouldn't that mean that Saffron wouldn't age?  I guess she has to stay inside the shield and that blows.  But the other wives have done it for 400 years so they can just get over themselves.

And then there Saffron.. Who was kind of a stubborn bitch. Im sorry.  There were some good things about her sure.  But for the most part I just could not stand her.

I got a little bored with the journey to free Deidre's sister. That was a big chunk of the book and I just feel like it could have been cut down because IDK it was just boring.

I want to jump for joy at the ending!!!! No spoilers.  Although it is hard because it's all I want to talk about.

I will say that I am glad that you can still see the good in Malcolm(Not sure if that is how you spell his name) I like his character.  I like that he helped Saffron out. I mean a little bit.  He couldn't help out like he should have but he was still able to fight Deidre a little bit and I like that.

and I am so freaking excited to read Ramsey's book next!!! ahhhh!! He is my favorite!! Please do not let me down!

Darkest Highlander by Donna Grant

I liked this book.. but Sonya was beyond stupid. What does Deirdre want more than anything else? a druid.  So what does Sonya (A DRUID) do?  She follows Broc right back to the mountain, right back to Deirdre.   And she just freaking walked right fuckin in.  With no weapon and she thought her magic was completely gone.  STUPID! I was sitting at work listening to this happen and I literally growled in frustration over this.  So now Sonya has all my coworkers thinking I am craaaazy.  So thats awesome.  Oh and then there is the little fact that Broc was with her sister. oh hell no.  I would have punched him if he ever made a move on me too. How freaking gross.  To sleep with someone your dead sister has also slept with. Nope.  But Sonya just completely over looks that little fact.  oh it bothered her... but oh well.

Look obviously I am not sugar coating this review.  I did not like this book.. The only reason it got 2 stars is because of all the back story for the next series.  I hated Sonya and Brocs story.  It was such a disappointment because up until this book they have been some of my favorite characters in the series.

Darkest Flame by Donna Grant

I liked this book.. But I did feel a little lost at times.  I haven't read any of Donna Grant's other books so I don't know any of her other characters or their stories and some of whats going on in this book I think relates to those other books.  I thought I would be okay because this is the first book of the series but I guess not.. I mean it's not huge things just little things that as an obsessive reader annoy me that I don't know.

Once I got over that little annoyance and focused on THIS actual story I loved it.  Denae is an okay female lead.. and Kellan was an ok male lead.  I was a little put off by him just because after he found out Denae left he immediately went for his sword instead of figuring out exactly what happened... You just met the girl.  I get that you love her and she is your mate but you are going to kill your leader/friend of idk a million years because he suggested she leave. REALLY?  Up until that point I loved him but then I was just like ehh..

When we are married for 100 years are you going to kill me if I break a cup? because I tend to do that.  I just thought it was a slight over reaction to what happened.  Was Con a complete bastard? Absolutely.  Would I break his face? Absolutely.  After I went and got the girl. Would I kill Con? Hell no because I am not a psycho.

Okay dokey.  Now that I have ranted about like one page of the whole book... Sorry. It is a good book! Worth reading.  I am just going to go back and read her other series first.  I don't think it will really make that much of a difference but I am just weird like that.
