Tempting Rever by Laurann Dohner

BOO.  I have actually been enjoying these books.  This one was terrible.  The writing for some reason went downhill.  The situation was different in this book.  It wasn't just a kidnap a girl and mate with her.  The hero already had a bound human but another human was put under his protection and his bound was suppose to be like a 'bitchy' female but everything she said and did was so freaking cheesy and robotic and it made the dialogue awkward. This was also the first time the the heroine begged to be there.  So that was also weird I guess.  I hate when women beg.  And she begged him a lot.  So yeah just not a fan of this one.

Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley

I am not even going to pretend that I liked this one.. The only reason I finished it was because I want to move on with the series.  The only good thing about this book was the side characters.

I hated both of the main characters.  I thought I would love Eddie.. But he wasn't even a good "do everything I say" caveman.. He got shit done yeah but eh.  Nothing special like Lee.

And Jet... I hated her. She was a bitch.  Well let me clarify, she was a bitch ONLY to Eddie.  She was basically a perfect angel to everyone else.  No matter how nasty they were to her.  Like her father who took her money and brought bad men to her doorstep.  She didn't care.  But then when Eddie tried to help her she was such a bitch.  And the whole thing with thinking she was too boring for him.. That was just annoying.  I don't understand why that needed to be added in there at all.

I also do not understand why Eddie stuck around.  Jet was terrible to him.  She was NEVER nice to him.  The romance didn't make sense to me.  Whatever works for people I guess.

1.5 stars... Those stars are strictly for the original characters.  Not Jet and Not Eddie.  And defiantly not for this romance.

The Vampire Games by Stephanie Archer

I tried to like this book... I mean I did like it.. just not as much as I thought I would.  It was honestly a little darker than I thought it was going to be. I  get that it was a vampire killing game but I just thought that the romance would have been a bigger deal but it wasn't really there until the very end of the book. I also think that she got away with too much.  Realistically she would have been put down for running her mouth the way that she did to the vampires.  I wasn't a huge fan of hers.  I kind of think she was not very smart.

It was a short read and for that I am glad.  I might not have finished it if it were any longer.

Dark Guardian by Christine Feehan

I have mixed feelings about this book.  I liked Lucian a lot more than I have liked most of the other males from this series.  Yes he was all caveman and forced his will but thats just what they do.  It's a story not real life.  And he seemed to feel guilty when he did it and the only times I remember him doing it was when he wanted Jax to drink from him.  Is that right? maybe thats wrong.  But if thats the case then he's better than the rest of them. Plus he was kinda funny and I liked that about him.

Jaxon I didn't really care for.  She has a shitty childhood. Alright.  That sucks. But her way of coping with everything was so freaking annoying.  The whole denial thing.  I hate that.  She was suppose to be this bad ass cop and her way of dealing with everything was to pretend it wasn't there or that she didn't hear it.. That just annoys me. Honestly Lucian kind of got stuck with a shitty life mate.

And can I just say really, one shot took him down? COME ON! thats just embarrassing.

What A Dragon Should Know by G. A. Aiken

I honestly don't know why I always wait so long in between each book. Because these books always make me laugh and the story is always fantastic.  And this one is no exception.  This one is by far my favorite.  Gwenvael and Dagmar were perfect together.  I might even say they are the most perfect couple I have ever read about.  No joke.  I am so freaking in love with them.  Not individually but together.  They are hilarious, dramatic and 100 % devious.

I like that Dagmar isn't necessarily a gorgeous woman.  And I also like that she isn't a warrior.  I like that she wins battles with her words.  I enjoyed reading battle of wits way more than I like reading about actual battles.  To have a plain woman bring down huge dragons with nothing but words? Freaking awesome.  Not to mention negotiating a life for a pair of socks.  Seriously,  She is a bad ass.

Gwenvael has always made me laugh. He has always been a bit dramatic and I think that is why I put off reading his book.  I liked him but at the same time he kind of annoyed me.  But put him with Dagmar and he is the same but better.

Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright

Well I pretty much love everything about this book.  The characters were perfect, the story was perfect, and good hot damn the sex could not have been any hotter.

"Look, I'm not much of a morning person, because I tend to sleep through it, so if you're hoping to piss me off, then proceed with extreme caution.  We'll get along just fine if you don't treat me any differently than you would a princess."---- And that right there was when I knew that I was in love with Taryn.  Not Trey, Taryn.  She was one of the best heroines I've ever read.  Honestly I am girl crushing hard on her. I loved her sass and her freaking smart ass mouth.  Her banter with Trey's grandmother was hilarious!

And Trey.  He is crude, dominate and sexy.  What more could a woman want.  Brains, sure he's got those too.  He's just yummy all around.  I love that they acknowledge that the don't want a looooove match but that they can still be together and still have it mean more than the sex.  I love that it wasn't inst-love.  Don't get me wrong.  I usually like insta love in shifter books.  But I like how this one played out.  I enjoyed watching this relationship grow into love.  It was beautiful and so very hot.

Suzanne Wright you freaking rocked this book.

Black Magic Woman by Christine Warren

hmm... I can't decide if I liked it or not.  There were times were I did. and then there were times that I hated it.  Okay Daphanie (which is a silly name) was a moron.  She knows nothing about the 'other' world and yet she throws a freaking fit in one of their bars.  Really?  Does that seem like a wise decision? Nope. And even after Asher tells her who the guy was that she just insulted she still acts like she knows everything and that she can take care of herself.  Bitch you just found out about the 'other' world a couple days ago and have already upset a pretty nasty guy.  Clearly you can't take care of yourself.  You stubborn fool.

I did love Asher. Yeah.. He was pretty much perfection.  Why the hell did he want Daphanie?  He wasn't a werewolf so there wasn't the whole internal life mate thing and I mean come on! I just don't see it.  But who the hell am I to judge a man preference.  Just goes to show that he's a bit crazy too.

What I loved about the book was that Graham and Rafe!   They were hilarious.  I enjoyed their conversations.  And I loved hearing Graham talk about Missy.  I liked her and I also like seeing her again in this book.

If it wasn't for Daphanie I think this book would have been really good.  The story with all the voodoo was a lot of fun and I loved Asher and the side characters.  It makes me sad that one bad character can ruin a book but it totally can.  Especially when it's one of the MCs.

OutTakes from the Grave by Jeaniene Frost

I loved this! My sister got this for me for Christmas and she read the deleted scenes along side the books. And since I have read this series at least 5 or 6 times I thought it might be interesting to do that as well and I loved it. Some of the scenes weren't too different and then some of them are. Hello the whole Noah thing?! Yikes I am so glad that wasn't put in the publication I would have thought less of Cat. But anyways besides the scenes Jeaniene Frost added commentary before each of them and I think I enjoyed that almost as much as I did the actual story. She is a funny lady. And it was pretty neat know why things weren't added or why she did or didn't like certain things.

I will never have enough Cat and Bones. So I liked this book made me happy.
